Adding a new client in LeanLaw from the very, very beginning. That is the purpose of the video and this post. Start at the beginning.
Becoming an accounting pro with LeanLaw is like becoming certified in QuickBooks Online . They both will generate leads. If you are trying to niche out your business to working with Law Firms, connecting and being part of a partner program is a great place to start. I highly recommend this.
Not only will LeanLaw provide you with decent leads for your specialized practice, but the staff at LeanLaw will also support you. Hand and hand. They want you to succeed! They help you with learning the app and setting up and training your new client. It is a win-win for us!

Adding a new client in LeanLaw: Where do I start?
- First go to LeanLaw.co
- Select Accountants>LeanLaw Accounting Pros. Scroll to the bottom to "become a Pro"
- Sign up with your accounting firm. Fill in the settings for your business details.
Adding a new client in LeanLaw: Next step is to add your client/law firm
To add a client to your LeanLaw client list, go to your firm:
- Go to the gear wheel on the top, right side of the screen for settings.
- Click the My firms on the right to expose the companies you work with and to the screen below to add a new client.
Adding a new client in LeanLaw: Connect the LeanLaw client account to the QuickBooks Online Company file
Once you are connected and synchronized, it is a matter of updating the settings. Remember LeanLaw is the tracking software for your accounts receivable as well as tracking your Trust/Iolta accounting. It is also the program to track your billable expenses. The ones you will add to a client invoice at a later date. You can add the products/services you sell (legal services, corporate filings, etc.) right in LeanLaw and the synchronization will happen in QuickBooks.
